Silia Kapsis

In the spring of 2024, Silia Kapsis (Sydney, 2006) performs for music lovers worldwide at the Eurovision Song Contest in Mälmo, Sweden. She is the youngest participant in the song contest that year representing Cyprus in the grand final with the song ‘Liar’. This most recent highlight in her still young career, will certainly not the last one.

Silia grew up in Australia with Greek Cypriot roots. The multi-talented artist was born into a musical family; her Cypriot father is a singer and her Greek mother a dancer, and a lawyer. At the age of four she started singing, dancing and acting. Her talent and hard work does not go unnoticed, landing her a spot as lead singer with the Australian Youth Perfoming Arts Company. This was followed not only by performances in Sydney, but around the world.

At the age of 12, Silia wrote and composed her first own single ‘Who Am I’, although it wasn’t released until a few years later in 2022. ‘No Boys Allowed’, ‘Disco Dancer’ and ‘Night Out’ follow in 2023. For the latter track, she opts for a mix of pop and R&B, which is well received by the audience.

Silia also earned her stripes as a dancer. She was part of the ImmaBeast Dance Company elite corps in Los Angeles, where she worked with leading choreographers. Among others, she danced alongside the late Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss on ‘The Jennifer Hudson Show’ and was featured in a documentary series on freestyle dancing by rapper Taboo (Black Eyed Peas)

In 2022, Silia stars in the short film ‘Pearly Gates’. She is also a regular on Australia’s Nickelodeon, including as host of ‘Nick News’.
